DOVETAIL JOINT ASSEMBLY

Again for the Processes and Finishes class, the task was to design a product using the dovetail assembly. The condition was to avoid common applications, such as drawers or furniture, so I decided to develop something more complex: a Criptex. again, with MDF and laser cutting. The dovetail substitutes the adhesive, however, the structure properties of the MDF are not good enough to withstand the stress of movement and rotation. So it is necessary to use some adhesive.
