Lilium
A candy package born from design principles, emotion language and a structure study. It’s goal is to generate the sensation of happiness and fun though bright colors, a dynamic shapes and an unexpected function.
There were to stages in the design process; initially starting from the geometric-abstract-analysis of a photo, a visual module was devised, with a circular array a two-dimensional composition was made: the visual component of the packaging.
Meanwhile, the second stage began by experimenting with paper structures, and taking as inspiration the two-dimensional composition, formal prototypes were developed whose synthesis led to the final result: a hexagonal packaging with an internal container that closes with the weight of the sweets (or content) and opens, like a flower form of flower, Lilium.
During this process I learned to apply basic principles for decision making with design criteria regarding the use of colors, the composition of two-dimensional imagery, the acquisition and appropriation of design elements, and experience in paper prototyping in the development of packages layouts to achieve volume through folds.
